1. Common questions
I don't see the prices I expected on the paywall
VocaGrow shows live prices straight from the App Store or Google Play, so they're shown in your local currency at the store's exchange rate. If you see fallback prices (in USD) it means the store couldn't be reached — usually a temporary network issue. Close and reopen the app.
My subscription / purchase isn't unlocking Pro
Open the app → Profile → Restore purchases. This re-queries the store for any subscription or lifetime purchase tied to the account you used. If that doesn't work, double-check you're signed into the App Store or Google Play with the account that made the purchase, then try again. Still no luck? Email us with the receipt and we'll fix it on our side.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from. Open the app → Profile → Manage subscription to jump directly to the store's cancellation flow. You can also cancel from the App Store or Google Play account settings. Pro perks stay active until the end of your current billing period.
I want a refund
Refunds are handled by the store, not by us:
- App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com — within 14 days of purchase.
- Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory — within 48 hours, or contact Google for older orders.
If the store declines and you have a clear case, email us and we'll advocate for you with them.
The AI tutor asks for a Gemini API key — where do I get one?
VocaGrow's AI tutor is "bring your own key" so you control cost. Get a free Gemini API key in two minutes:
- Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with any Google account.
- Click Create API key → Create API key in new project.
- Copy the key and paste it in Profile → AI tutor → My API key.
Google's free tier is generous; for typical VocaGrow usage you'll never hit a paid limit. The key stays on your device — we never see your prompts.
I'm on an older Android / iOS phone — will the app work?
VocaGrow needs Android 7.0 (API 24) or iOS 13 and newer. Older devices aren't supported.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes. Vocabulary, flashcards, games, grammar lessons and reading stories all work fully offline. Only the AI tutor and ads need the internet.
2. Delete my data
You can delete everything VocaGrow has from your device any time via Settings → Delete my data. To also wipe pseudonymous analytics records that have already left your device, email support@vocagrow.com with your request — full details are in our privacy policy.
3. Report a bug
Email support@vocagrow.com with:
- What you did (the screen / action).
- What you expected.
- What happened instead.
- Your device model and OS version (helps a lot).
- A screenshot or screen recording if possible.
4. Suggest a feature
Same address — support@vocagrow.com. We keep a roadmap and read every suggestion. If we ship your idea we'll let you know.
5. App Store / Google Play reviewer access
App Store and Play Store review teams: review credentials (sandbox tester account + demo Gemini API key) are provided in the App Review notes attached to each submission. If anything is missing, email support@vocagrow.com and we'll respond within hours.
